National Volunteer Week – Eugene and Evelyn

By |Published On: April 18, 2018|Categories: Uncategorized|

This week, we’re celebrating the devoted volunteers who dedicate their time to sharing the hope of Christ through our ministry. And today, we’re featuring Eugene and Evelyn Wong – two of our most faithful volunteers at Joni and Friends! They first began volunteering in 2005, when they heard about Joni by reading her books.

And since then, they’ve come to our International Disability Center every Friday morning to serve with our Development Department and apply themselves with diligence to the tasks they’re given. They’re also our official “garland experts” – each Christmas they carefully hang the garland along both sides of our very long ramp!

They enjoy serving because of the many new staff and volunteers they get to meet – each person they’ve met through Joni and Friends has truly enriched their lives. Eugene and Evelyn are such a vital part of our ministry, and we praise God for the time and energy they devote to advancing the kingdom of Heaven through Joni and Friends!

Are you looking for a way to get involved with our ministry? This wonderful couple would tell you that you’ll “thoroughly enjoy and be fulfilled in serving the Lord at Joni and Friends!”
