July 22nd Update from Joni:

I just received a call from my doctor telling me that the results of the PET scan and bone scan are clear -- in other words, they did not find any cancer that had metasticized in my bones or elsewhere! THANK YOU for praying -- I'm convinced this good news is a result of your personal and powerful intercessions. As far as I know, I will still have to go through chemotherapy starting the first week of August, but if there's any change on that front, I'll be certain to let you know ASAP. Psalm 61:1 says, "Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer." And you know what? He did!

"Hear my cry,O God;listen to my prayer." Our prayer for toward you is for you to continue reaching so many in His Name. His will be done, Thank you for touching so many lives; especially time one team visited a hospital in Bistrita Nasaud at Beclean, Romania. Our prayers continue.

This is my 1st visit to your website, but I just finished visiting with a young Amish boy paralyzed from chest down & he had missed the program concerning the results of your surg. so I told him I would try & find it on the I/N. He told me he hardly ever misses your program on Sat. & you are a great inspiration to him. God bless you, Love in Christ, Molly

Hi Joni, I have been praying that your cancer didn't spread and that if you have to go through chemo that you will not get sick or weak. Although I have many disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Dystonia and Arthritis in most of my body I truely have a hard time understanding how someone who has given so much of their life in praising God and spreading His word can have cancer after being paralyzed for so many years. I know that our pain is to bring us closer to God but it makes me wonder how much closer you can get. I pray and am one that prays for the people on your prayer requests plus others that need prayer. I honestly do not know how to pray right I don't think or I'm not as fervany as a prayer that I could be but I don't know how to pray differently than I do. Is there a way to learn to pray more deeply? I am thankful that your cancer did not spread and I pray that you will not have to go through chemo. (My mother didn't after her breast cancer 19 years ago. God Bless, Debbie

My heart was saddened to hear of your cancer diagnosis. After reading your comments in "From the Heart" section of August's newsletter, all I can say is "to God be the glory, great things He has done" and will continue to do as you and Ken look to Him. May the witnessess in the heavenlies truly see what a great and mighty God we have as you display His strength from day to day.

Dear Joni -- Since I was diagnosed with DCIS in the left breast in 2008, my prayer has been that others would know that the BIG 'C' in my life is Christ and not cancer. Your witness has always shown that Christ is the most important part of your life, and I know He will use your experiences with cancer to minister to countless new "friends" in new ways. God bless you, Joni. I join with so many others in praying for your health and your ministry. You are a precious jewel in God's kingdom here on earth.

Hi Joni: I'm sad to say...that I was searching the web this morning for "spiritual words" to write in a card to give to a dear friend and co-worker that was just diagnosed with Breast Cancer, (Vicki - she starts Chemo tomorrow - we all wore pink to work today in honor of her) and I came across news briefs saying that you were diagnosed with Breast Cancer back in June... as well. My heart goes out to you and I will begin praying for you too! I'm going to let Vicki know this news and give her your website, that possibly through your "Blog"/testimony it will help her to endure and keep her faith and trust in our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ! I'm sure you hear it ALOT...but you're an amazing person/woman and your faith in God is so inspirational and encouraging...but even more His "Love" exhumes from your being! Thank you dear sister in Christ, Love & Light, Gloria PS...just to let you know...my heart is thumping knowing that I'm about to send this message to someone like you... a "Star" in my eyes, I don't know anyone "famous"...WOW...I may never meet you here on Earth, but someday in Heaven...how exciting!! :)

We pray for you often, Joni. I've (Norm) gone through more than one life-threatening illness including cancer, and am here to agree with your hope and confidence in Christ. Keep fighting the good fight, we'll see each other in glory where we can fellowship and linger over just how powerful your books and testimony were in our lives. Thank you, dear heart.

You are continually a precious person of God as is Ken, your Helpmate, and all the others who minister to you. You all bless us with your ministry. I am an able bodied person but have over the years encountered great challenges. Each time something of your books and or email devotions or meeting someone you knew personally have intercepted my fears and reminded me of our INCREDIBLE LORD AND SAVIOR. Thank you for continuing to share your life's journey with the Lord and with us!
