10 years ago, Wang had a back tumor. She had surgery but doctors could only remove part of it. Several years later, Wang and her husband dearly desired to have a baby. The doctor warned her that a growing fetus could press against the tumor that remained in her back. The risk of paralysis was high, but Wang and her husband wanted a child so much. Wang soon became pregnant and the doctor's prediction was correct: as the child grew within her, Wang slowly became paralyzed. By the time her baby boy was born, Wang was a paraplegic… but her baby was perfect. For 8 years, Wang has not walked. As she waited for a wheelchair at our Wheels for the World outreach in China, she was filled with joy. “Now I can take a walk with my son, I can go with him to the playground like other mothers do. I can walk him to school and attend his school events. Thank you for giving me this joy of being a complete mother.” The gospel was shared: God's sacrifice of His own son for us. Her eyes filled with tears because she knows firsthand that love that sacrifices is the greatest love of all. “Thank you for showing us the true love of God,” she said. “Thank you for coming so far to bring us so much. Thank you for the new life you have given me today.”
