When people with disabilities ‘wheel’ into leadership roles, it makes a Wheels for the World outreach even more powerful. Mike King, community resource coordinator for our Joni and Friends/Eastern Pennsylvania team, recently traveled to China to help deliver wheelchairs, Bibles, and the Joni book in Chinese. When those with disabilities in China were told that Mike was the team leader, they were shocked… then, came the tears. In China, it’s not often a person with a disability gets to lead others. Join us in praising God for the many people who came to Christ during the outreach – and drop Mike King a note of thanks through our blog!

We are so proud of Mike who became our team leader to deliver the wheelchairs in China. It's very inconvenient for the disabled in China to go about.Few of facilities are supplied. But Mike did. When he was in our midst,he can strengthen our hands. As he quoted a scripture in the Bible,'I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.'(Philippians4:13)Let's give glory to our God!

Dear Joni, the chinese evangelist Watchman Nee has influenced my thinking greatly. And the life and story of Hudson Taylor, who founded the China Inland Mission, left a great impresssion on me too.How China needs the living God,Jesus Christ! Many people still live in darkness in China and I think that it is so blessed to proclaim the gospel to those who need to hear the words of eternal life.May God bless JAF for the work they are doing in China! Mike, Thank you, bless you, for going way out of your comfort zone to go to China on a Wheels trip. Not just to go, but to lead. What an impact God is having through you. Many, many thanks for your servant heart.

Mike ~ what a wonderful opportunity you had to go to the people of China. I really had my eyes and heart opened to China when I read, "Safely Home" by Randy Alcorn. Since then I have tried to keep up through Voice of the Martyrs and other websites. The picture of you with the Chinese people, the hunger on their faces, was just thrilling to me. Thank you for being available and travelling all that distance to reach these folks.

Hey Mike! I bet you wouldn't have ever thought that having to be in a wheel chair would be what it would take to be able to reach someone in China, eh? So glad that you were there for those Chinese folks!! Praise God!
