A Message from Chuck Colson: The Manhattan Declaration

joni eareckson tada and chuck colsonI just received an email from my friend, Chuck Colson. He writes, “What is going on today in our country is the greatest test of religious liberty we will have faced in our life time … I urge [all Christians] to go to the Manhattan Declaration website and sign the petition to President Obama. We want to get this to the President next week; we need to have one million signatures. I’ve never felt such a compelling call. If our efforts fail, we will be living in a much different country. We cannot afford to fail. Please act as quickly as you can.” I served as one of the original signatories of the Manhattan Declaration — the 4,700-word document speaks in defense of the sanctity of life, traditional marriage, and religious liberty. It issues a clarion call to Christians to adhere firmly to their convictions in these three areas. I hope you’ll sign it today!
