Let’s Keep Praying for Our Nation

Joni and Ken praying with friendsI hope you were able to take part in a National Day of Prayer observance yesterday – I know Ken and I were so blessed to be a part of the NDP events in PA (yesterday morning, I led a special time of prayer among a large group of people with disabilities, then in the afternoon I spoke at the major NDP observance). I am astounded by the demoralized feelings that seem so pervasive among Americans nowadays – it’s as though we’ve “given up” the fight for the sanctity of life, our religious freedoms, and the institution of Biblical marriage. But the fight is far from over, and we have every reason to be optimistic. After all, the war has already been won at the cross. So rather than feel discouraged, let us serve our culture by shaking Gospel salt, shining Christ’s light, and serve our neighbors in the name of Jesus – most of all, let’s continue to stand on the front lines in prayer for America!

So glad you came to Pennsylvania for NDP. We were praying with our daughter as she endured a medical test that was unpleasant. We prayed for others, as they prayed for her. Just wanted you to know that she is 18 years old and loves Jesus. Through her knitting and other hand skills, she and her friends are always looking for ways to cheer and help others, especially little children. May God continue to bless you and all you do.

Dear Joni, Even so we need to teach and exhort more boldly as we see the Day approaching. We should not lose heart but continue on becuz we know we are not laboring in vain even though at times we just want to give up! Yes, we need more prayer warriors out there becuz the fight is long and hard but we know who the victors are so that should spur us ever forward. Keep up the good fight my friend the end is in sight!! Love from your Dakota friend, Betty M
