Joni Eareckson Tada is a Christian mouth-painter, a singer, writer, disability activist, and a quadriplegic. But how did she get here? What left her paralyzed? And how did she develop a faith in Christ and a passion to serve those in need? In this video, Joni opens up to share with you her life testimony—from her childhood, to her diving accident, to her faith in Jesus and His plans. So, please, take a few minutes and watch this short video. We pray that it will inspire and encourage you to hold onto Jeremiah 29:11, that says, “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to give you hope and a future.’” Because whatever your circumstance, God knows your needs—and your future! If you know someone who has a disability or illness, share this video with him or her, and remember: God’s plans are always good!

Thank you! You are beautiful! I first read a track with you on the cover, painting with your mouth. In 1977, I finally quit running from Jesus & was born again. I bought your book, album & later saw the movie about you. Your suffering is heartbreaking, but what Jesus has done with it is a miracle! Your willingness to be a vessel for Him - a story like none other I've ever heard. May it be shared with generations to come! Blessings!

Thank you for changing my view over circumstances and about the future God has for us. He never said it would be easy at this present time but he guaranteed himself tonus and he is available to help anyone who calls for help. Best regards from Brazil and thank you for inspiring me with your faith. Hopefully I'll inspire many others with mine.

Hi Joni! My husband and I are from Sykesville,MD. We remember you coming to South Carroll High School giving your testimony and you drew a picture with your mouth/teeth. I read your first 2 books. We found a copy of a sketch you drew of a fisherman at an estate sale. My husband is working with someone connected with 'Joni and Friends."He sells heart and lung diagnostic equipment for Cosmed USA. He says they want the equipment to test children in wheelchairs,in other countries. He is also a registered Respiratory Therapist and is a good runner. He ran from his house in Sykesville to the Sykesville Elementary/Middle school everyday. He ran track in high school and got a scholarship to college and became a record holder in the mile run. He won a race that he ran in Texas yesterday. He won his age-group,55 and over. He knows all about the needs and uses of this equipment. He gets very excited to be able to share his knowledge about it...knowing it will help the health of others. I hope he gets to share in your want to help others too. Thank you for all your beautiful words and strength you have been given to share.

Joni, When I need something special in my walk with Christ, something that helps keep my spiritual bearings, I so often am directed to you or your podcasting. I so appreciate the 'grace of God' in your life that enables you to be "real" about your struggles and how you worship Him in the midst of them. I am also very excited about the song "Alone, yet not alone" and how God has orchestrated that whole thing. God is truly being honored and I know we want so many to be attracted to Him through this "adventure". Thank you for your faithfulness and our Father for His grace and kindness in the midst of challenging days. Truly, He alone is worthy and only He will receive the honor and glory forever and ever. :) He is good, Alex

Your testimony means a lot to me, thank you for sharing it with us and encouraging us to have a relationship with God every day!! God works in misterious ways and although we don't understand our circumstances we need to be convinced that God's will is good and won't harm our souls. Thank you for being such a example and I hope that one day I will be used by God as you are!! Happy 50th anniversary with Jesus!!!!!!

The more I listen to your song and watch what you said here, the more of the realization of being alone and being captured in "unexpected", "unwanted" circumstances is for me to see Christ alone and to experience His sweet presence every day! We are blessed children of our Father indeed!! Love you, my sister in Christ!
