Ken’s buoyant love for Christ and his even-headed way of dealing with my cancer can be directly attributed to several of his buddies who keep him constantly in prayer. But his best buddy through this challenging time has been Jan Janura. Years ago, Jan and Ken were Young Life leaders and roommates – Jan was one of Ken’s groomsmen in our wedding in 1982. Best of all, Ken and Jan enjoy fly fishing together plus keeping each other spiritually accountable through prayer and the study of God's Word as well as good Christian books. Thank you, Jan, for holding Ken close through this difficult time – for that, you are a big inspiration to me (and my husband).

Joni, Thank you for you continued life of strength, courage and faith in Christ to keep you going. I have a son who is quad. and he struggles intensely with God over his circumstances, but when I get down, I remember how God has worked in your life and I see a glimmer of hope for Lee.

Joni, I have been fighting cancer this year too! I had a double mastectomy last March and am cancer free at this time. I have learned to really trust in God for peace and my very life. I used and still use a lot of protein to promote healing in my body! Pure protein by bariatriceating.com has been the best! It is unflavored and mixes well not changing the consistency of food or drink you mix it in! God Bless you! You are in my prayers!

Good on you Ken for being a great husband! I see this from Joni's posts, her biography and the video from her art-room of the two of you together. It's great to here a husband's perspective on things, it's a good role model for other husbands striving to be Christian in all areas of their lives. Please keep sharing your insights and comments on here, we enjoy them just as much as Joni's. God bless!

The inportance of God's love at times like this seems to be so very calming! My cousin was diagnosed with breast cancer at the same time as Joni, and her most imporant request for support has been prayer! She is relying heavily on the Lord and being strong and positive! Kellie is an amazining woman,as are you Joni! We will keep you in our prayers!
