It’s a Full Moon Tonight

It’s a full moon tonight! Whenever there’s a full moon, I always remember my mother. Oh, how she loved gazing at the big yellow moon as we sung every lunar song we knew — songs like “Shine on Harvest Moon,” or “Blue Moon,” or “By the Light of the Silv’ry Moon.” They were moments that drew me close to God. Psalm 19 says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” That means every time you contemplate the skies, you’re pointed to your Glorious Creator. It’s why He created the night lights, so that whenever you fix your eyes upon them, you would fix your faith upon Jesus.

Tonight, take a moment to be amazed by the beauty of the heavenly skies. And in doing so, give God the glory for all He has made! And then don’t forget to change your clocks back one hour — Daylight Saving ends tomorrow :-).
