Zdravo from Serbia! Can you believe it? Family Retreats in Serbia?! Yes, and we were able to give the standard Family Retreat program a real Balkan twist! Don and Cindy Prince of Joni and Friends West Michigan helped provide leadership and give the Gospel to these families of special-needs children. A wonderfully enthusiastic group of volunteers (STMs) from the US helped energize everyone with games and super-fun activities – one of the STMs is Amy, our Cause 4 Life intern; she specializes in communications/autism and was able to provide helpful autism ‘education’ to Serbian moms and dads. Barriers came crumbling down as parents received one-on-one consultation – and most had never heard that their child could be a “blessing from God.” Tears flowed freely and in hearts were wide-opened to the Spirit of Jesus. So thank you, friend, for your gifts and prayers that make ministry like this possible!
