I Love You, Mom!

During the week leading up to today, Mother’s Day, I’ve been reflecting on the blessings of being raised by Lindy Eareckson — an avid sports woman, great cook, and a precious care-giver, especially during those years I lived with my Mom and Dad after I broke my neck. My mother always had a way of encouraging me. Like when she would visit me at the hospital and sing to me her favorite hymn, “Some Day He’ll Make it Plain.” Or when she would make her scrumptious, blue crab cakes for me and Ken to enjoy on a hot, summer afternoon. Another favorite memory? When my mother would come into the recording studio on Radio Day, put her hand on my shoulder, grab my hand, and tell me how proud she was of me. I thank God for having given me such a precious mother — and I rejoice, knowing that one day I will see her again in Heaven! Love you, mom!!
