Emeric on the climbing wall at Family RetreatWhy do special-needs families call Family Retreat “a slice of heaven?” Because Jesus is everywhere – and with Him come these two things: hope and joy! At Family Retreat everything’s possible because everything’s accessible! In the sun-splashed beauty of God’s outdoor creation, families experience the love and joy of Jesus through power-packed worship, relevant Bible teaching, heartfelt connections with other families and exciting summer adventures for every member of the family! This summer, 7-year-old Emeric rolled his wheelchair toward the climbing wall. It was awfully high, but it sure looked fun. Emeric was up for the challenge. He was all anticipation as the volunteers hitched him up for the climb. Alongside his dad Jake, he scaled the wall! No fear for Emeric – just trust, hope and the courageous joy that God gives kids and parents at Family Retreat! “As a family, we find good quality family time and wonderful spiritual growth at Family Retreat,” said Jake. “It’s a great chance for growth in so many ways!” It’s your prayers and support that make Family Retreat available to families like Emeric’s. Thank you for giving them – and thousands like them – the hope and joy of Jesus that empowers them to soar!
