Walter and Debbie Cobb with JoniMeet Walter and Debbie Cobb – although both are in their 60s, with Debbie fighting cancer, I am impressed with their upbeat attitudes. Despite daily struggles against pain and other health challenges, Walter and Debbie bend-over-backward to collect wheelchairs for Wheels for the World – they drive throughout the Carolinas picking up donated wheelchairs, and then make regular ‘drop-offs’ to the prison in Winton, NC where inmates refurbish the wheelchairs. “We pray all the time for the many disabled kids and adults who receive these chairs we collect,” says Debbie. If you’re looking for a creative way to serve Christ and the people with disabilities he loves, then consider volunteering with Joni and Friends as a Wheels for the World Chair-Corps Representative – get all the details here!
