Thousands of children with disabilities in developing countries like Romania, urgently need kid sized wheelchairs, yet they are in critically short supply and very expensive. Wheelchairs sometimes cost up to a year’s salary, which most families with special needs children cannot afford. Recently our Joni and Friends Wheels for the World team met 9-year-old Emmanuel at our wheelchair distribution. Your support and prayers gave Emmanuel a Bible in his own language and a beautiful Joni and Friends restored wheelchair perfect for his needs. His mother shared with us that as she watched our volunteer physical therapist work on her son’s wheelchair, she was deeply moved. “You care so much about every detail—I’ve never seen anyone care about my son to this degree. This kind of care can only come from God. Only God loves like this.” Thanks to your partnership and prayers, God came close to Emmanuel and his family that day through a wheelchair and the Gospel.
