Friday and Saturday we are at Gordon-Conwell Seminary as part of a disability ministry conference -- and I'm excited to say, the seminary leadership is very interested in including outreach to people with disabilities in their future course offerings! About 200 people are attending the conference, one of whom is 33 year old Cathe Chermisino who was struck by a car at the age of 13 while waking to school. I've known Cathe for the 20 years she's been a vent-dependent quadriplegic -- in fact, I wrote a devotional about her on the November 19 page of my book Diamonds in the Dust. If you have a copy, look it up -- her story and her trust in Jesus is wonderfully inspiring!

Dear Joni and Ken, I was so thankful to be in attendance at this conference. I learned so much from the two of you and the other speakers. Thank you for taking the time to be at Gordon-Conwell and encourage us to live faithful lives. May all who were there be obedient to the call of Christ especially as it pertains to loving and supporting our friends with disabilities. God bless!

Joni, there are so many wonderful people who must suffer unknowingly. But with God they are known and that is the most precious gift there is:That Jesus is on our side when it gets tough in life. And that He will provide in strength and grace to go through the difficult circumstances.1 Cor 10:13
