“Healthy leadership does not happen to people affected by disability, nor does it only happen for them. It should happen with them.” – Go Make Disciples

The newest book in our Irresistible Church series, “Go Make Disciples,” walks the reader through the steps to a healthy mentoring relationship with those affected by disability.

Irresistible leadership isn’t just about leading individuals affected by disability. Rather, it is about creating space for everyone who is called into leadership to come, grow, and express their gifts and talents. Healthy leadership does not happen to people affected by disability nor does it only happen for them. It should happen with them. In this book, you will learn the four steps to a healthy mentoring relationship and be used by God to release people into the spheres of leadership where He has called them.

Some of the specific practical advice included in “Go Make Disciples” addresses topics like finding your calling, a roadmap for leadership, and the results of well-executed, God-led leadership.

Previous books in this series include: “Start with Hello,” an introduction to disability ministry; “Engaging Game Changers,” a guide to training volunteers; “We’ve Got This!,” explanation and instruction for a respite program for individuals with disabilities and their caregivers; “Call Me Friend,” an exploration of the buddy program as one method of disability ministry; “Pathways to Belonging,” a study in the various ways that churches can construct disability ministries to meet specific needs; “Shout for Joy!,” which provides practical solutions for making worship more accommodating; “Are You Ready?,” which explains how a leader’s heart for disability trickles down and influences the congregation as a whole; “Doing Life Together,” addresses the importance of coming alongside those affected by disability to offer support; and Responding with Compassion, which helps the reader navigate challenging behaviors in special needs ministry.
