steve saintSteve Saint is known around the world as one of the most passionate advocates for global missions. His father, Nate Saint, was one of the missionaries, along with Jim Elliott, who was killed by Auca Indians back in the 50's. Last week, our friend Steve suffered a serious spinal cord injury which has left him paralyzed from the neck down for now. Tomorrow on June 19 he will undergo surgery to stabilize the vertebrae in his neck. Please pray for skilled hands by the surgeon... and ask God to restore Steve!

My husband and I are missionaries in Sao Paulo, Brazil ( 23 years). While on furlough in 2009, we had the opportunity to meet and talk with Steve at a mission conference. He's a great man of God! We'll be praying for him and the surgeons.

Continuing to check this site for updates. Have been praying for his full recovery & continued working at what he does so well, being family to those God loves even when at one time it was humanly impossible apart from Christ Jesus, and sharing that message with all of us. Please keep us all posted, thanks so much.

I put out the prayer request at Steve's church and we got word today that his surgery went well and he stood today with assistance. Praise the Lord! God hears your prayers, keep praying for his recovery.

We will certainly be praying. We have followed the stories of Jim Elliott and Nate Saint with regard to the Auca Indians. We are glad we can know so we can pray.

Steve, your story inspired me SO much after my 1975 rape and caused me to rethink "what would I do" in the case of someone trying to do me harm now. I hope that I would have the courage to do what your dad did if it would save them. Praying for your pain to be relieved and your will to be done because I know full well that it aligns right with God's. Love and prayers!! . . . beth

Steve, G-d is a miracle worker. Father, please restore Steve's nerves in his back and neck and give the Sergions and nurses wisdom. Peace be with you, in Jesus' name. Amen

Will pray. Was so blessed by a book written by Steve and we were spurred on even more to the mission field in 1958 after the deaths of Nate Saint and the others with him by the Auca Indians in the 50s.
