Friday, September 3rd Update from Joni:

Anyone for prayer? Last evening my sister Jay and I were enjoying my backyard after sunset and, as warm breezes rustled the leaves, I listened as she blessed God for His merciful answers to so many intercessions. My ears perked, though, when Jay prayed softly, “And, Lord, thank you that Joni has been able to trample the serpent. You promised your people would survive even poisonous snakes, and she’s doing just that.” I never thought of it that way! Praise the Lord, my body is surviving the highly toxic drugs that are poisoning what few cancer cells may be lurking… and I’m all the better, all the stronger for it!

Psalm 91 has been a stalwart through all of this, but now the 13th verse has even sweeter meaning, “You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.” Join with me in celebrating the protection and provision of our glorious God. And while you’re praising Him, thank Him for the many people with disabilities and their families in Romania who received Christ last week during our Wheels for the World outreach! Coming up next? Outreach trips to India, Cuba and Ukraine. Remember, as we persevere in our affliction, God is opening up the hearts of others far more afflicted in the darkest corners around the world. That’s the big picture!

Praising the Lord with you - both for your squashed serpents and for the souls saved! Psalm 91 is a favorite of mine, too =) Praying for you all! Blessings, Kathy

Hi Joni! This is the first time I have been on the site. How wonderful it is! I first clicked on the video of you and Ken. You are SO beautiful and what a handsome man he is. The love of God shines through you both. It brought tears to my eyes when you said your first dance would be with Jesus. And then Ken got all filled up. You are such an amazing woman. My husband's Mom bought me your book "Diamonds in the Dust" 14yrs ago and I am still reading it! You are such an amazing, talented woman!! Such an inspiration to SO many. I admire your courage and positive attitude always, especially since I found out of your cancer. I will add you to my prayer list. My friend's friend is struggling through her first week of chemo and it is not doing so well. She is a Christian and is leaning into the Lord. We are all lifting her up in prayer. It is people like you and my friend's friend that put my life into perspective when I hear what you are going through. Thank you. I have quite a few health issues and I am recouping from surgery from a week ago. Thank you for your inspiring words. I am planning on buying more of your books and would like a piece of art in the future as well. May God Bless you and heal you quickly. Sincerely, Michele

Go God! Eternally speaking, one of my best friends told me this this summer: "If life is a speck; what is this moment?"- JMT We can do this thing!- whatever He has called us to do for Him. Thanks for the reminder of the big picture and that HE is worthy of our praises!

God's grace and peace dear Joni, Ken and Kathy during the third treatment. I'm always up for prayer and praise; "Thank You Lord Jesus for Your faithfulness to honor the JAF ministry in Romania with a bountiful harvest. Cause each one to grow and multiply in all honor and glory to You. And Lord, help Joni to persevere and flourish during treatment this week while enabling your JAF servants to bear much more fruit as they head for India, Cuba and Ukraine." Love ya, Joni

Your example of surrender, praise and worshiping God in the midst of trials is everything God wants from you and all of us! You are in God's will as you heart trusts and you are an example God has designed for all of us who suffer and for those who don't. I am blessed by you during this trial and you have shown me how I am to be during my own season of illness as well. Thank you for letting us see that your heart is His no matter what! James 1..."Consider it JOY my brothers when you encounter various trials...so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing"

God bless you, Joni! Isn't it amazing how there's always a way of thinking of God's word that we hadn't thought of before. God bless Jay for being there with you and your time together.
