Forever Friends

To me, it’s remarkable the way the Lord pairs young people with disabilities with the men and women who serve as short-term missionaries at our Family Retreats. Take the friendship that blossomed between Jeff (the guy with the winning smile on the far left) and Stephen (the handsome kid in the middle). The lives of both of these fellows are changed forever, all because of a week of Spirit-blessed fun and fellowship at Family Retreat this past week. My admiration and respect goes out to the many hundreds of other short-term missionaries who are serving at retreats this summer, “For this service that you perform is overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God” (II Corinthians 9:12).
