joni and ken at the airportBy the time you read this, Ken and I, Rainey and Kathren will be heading to the Orlando airport to fly home to Los Angeles – as always, we’d appreciate it immensely if you would ask God to grant us safety, helpful gate agents, opportunities to witness about Christ, a pain-free flight for me, rest for my husband and friends… and, of course, that my wheelchair would show up at LAX in one piece and in working order :-). It’s been an awesome trip as we have cast the Luke 14 vision among a whole new group of believers – may it result in people with disabilities coming to Christ, and God receiving all the glory! Come back here on Monday for more updates, and thanks again for your intercessions, friend!

I'm gaining a better understanding of what living with a disability is like .... fell on ice 3 weeks ago and shattered my knee cap ..... walker and brace, pain , struggling to do just basic everyday things, having to depend on others for basic needs, challenges of travel and wondering how long I'll be in this condition ... if nothing else this Season of my life has given me a greater understanding of what so many deal with on a day to day basis with no sign of change in sight. Even in this I see God is faithful - Romans 8:28-29 For His Glory , Arline Drann

Dear Lord Jesus, Please be with Joni and family as they travel back home from doing your work...Give them peace, comfort and opportunity as they continue in humble servitude. We thank you Lord, for the doors you have opened for them over the years and ask that you continue to cover them with a hedge of protection and strengthen them for their continued journey down the path that you have set for them. In Jesus name we pray, Amen

Joni of course I'll pray- I first saw you when I was about 9 on a book cover that my mom was intensley reading- you had a paint brush in your mouth- Mom told me you were paralized and loved Jesus with all your heart- next I saw u was at Congress in about 2008 or abouts in Boston- I was a vendor for Hope International- I begged my buddy to take over so i could hear you speak- there wasnt a dry eye in the house- you spoke of borrowing Jesus' smile before your "helper" walks in your room each morning- I wanted to meet you but everyone felt the same way and got there earlier-now I'm 42 and heard of you seeing angel escorts for a loved one who died on the second floor- God is good- He blessed you with that experiance- I havent stopped praying for you Johnny- I brag about you when leading people with great adversity to Christ-I also ask God to bless you with an extra fantastic body in heaven since this one has caused you so much grief- Cant wait to meet u on the other side, Jonni!-

Joni, I attended Sunday night at First Baptist, Orlando. How wonderful, how marvelous is God's love. I have been on a God high since hearing you Praise the Lord's name. We brought two young men who do not know the Lord. They are really softened since then. May the Lord bless you as you proclaim His name.

Thanks for coming to KA. It was good to know what you are doing now. I honestly had not heard much since the 80's. I am really out of touch! Glad to find you again and see the wonderful ministry God has given you. I'll be checking the blog often.
