A Fatwa Against Disabled Children

A Fatwa Against DisabledRecently, an alarming report was posted on FoxNews — ISIS militants have reportedly authorized the terror group's members to kill newborn babies with Down syndrome, as well as other disabled children. Always, whenever I watch Fox News, I use what I’ve learned as fodder for prayer and intercession (there’s hardly a time I turn off the news that I don’t pray about what I’ve watched)! This report about the killing of children with disabilities has certainly energized my prayers even further: “Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked” (Psalm 97:10). May God deliver these little ones from the hand of the wicked!

The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Meaning, He is in charge. And His name is glorified. This threat will not make its way without God's permission. But I will join in prayers for He to send angels to protect these little ones.

Hello Joni, This is very sad news! And an important prayer issue. I put it in my daily prayer list. Could this be end times. At least there is very much evil in the world. But God is stronger than all bad forces. Happy advent and Christmas time and God bless you and your work! We keep you in our prayers :)

Truly awful, but I'm not surprised. The disabled have always been the subject of the worst prejudice. Hitler began his campaigns of murder against the disabled confined to institutions first--well before his murder of the Jews. Our policy of legal abortion particularly targets the unborn disabled. The disabled are among the most defenseless of all people. The evil always target the disabled. I believe it is demonic to do so in any form and will be judged very harshly--if not in this life, then afterward.

Will be praying for all the little children. We need to pray for all our loved ones, and let them know how important it is to seek the Lord each and everyday. We need to wake up America and Stand with the Lord!!

Dear Joni, I will join you in prayer. Also I want to thank you for mentioning "I use what I’ve learned as fodder for prayer and intercession (there’s hardly a time I turn off the news that I don’t pray about what I’ve watched)". This is what we need to be reminded about. Our reaction to the awful news we hear each day should be prayer. I am sorry to say that at times I lean toward worry instead of prayer. Thanks for all you do. God bless you and your ministry.
