Evangelicals for Life Conference

I used to think that only cultures in dark corners of the earth considered disabled people as "useless and of no value" — places where infants born with disabilities were drowned or discarded in dumpsters. That’s what I used to think. But now, even modern industrialized nations in Europe and elsewhere view certain individuals with disabilities as valueless — places where a doctor can legally put to death an infant or an elderly person with a mild disability. It’s why I do everything I can to show the world that life is worth living, and that a disability is not a reason to end a person’s life. Like the psalmist, I proudly proclaim the words of Psalm 139: “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made… My frame was not hidden from you… all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Oh friend, only God is the creator and sustainer of life — and it is in Him that we find the true meaning of life.

It’s the message I’ll be sharing at the upcoming annual “Evangelicals for Life” Conference in Washington, DC this January 18-20, 2018 — hosted by Focus on the Family, and the Ethics and Religion Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention. It’s a chance for concerned believers like you to be equipped and inspired by pro-life leaders from across the country — with speakers including myself, Russell Moore, Ann Voskamp, Rich Stearns and many more! Don’t think you can make it to Capitol Hill? No worries. You can watch the event from the comfort of your home or with your church through the free, live online simulcast. So, will you please join us in being a voice for life? Watch and share this video with your friends, and then invite your church to check out the Evangelicals for Life website for a free promotional toolkit, including posters, social media photos, and bulletin inserts. And of course, don’t forget to save the date!
