El Salvador Family Retreat

Rejoice with us! We just finished our third Family Retreat in El Salvador at a little resort in Costa del Sol – most of these families have never experienced a real resort, even if it is a small, humble one. They enjoyed a barbecue, carnival, swimming, crafts, and even a spa day for the mothers (unheard of in El Salvador)! The special-needs children and their parents soaked in the love of Christ showered on them by our JAF staff and church partners in-country. During the Family Retreat, we also hosted a special conference for engineers and architects, encouraging them to work with us in making more villages in El Salvador accessible to people with disabilities – we think this is a wonderfully creative way to reach more El Salvadorans with the Gospel of Christ!

What a blessing to hear of the El Salvador retreat and to see evidence in this wonderful photograph of the amazing ways JAF is working amongst those families. It's so touching to see the effects of God's love and care for those who wouldn't normally have the opportunity to experience this. Your ministry is a very special one, and God-inspired.

Dear Joni, how encouraging to hear your work is still going on.It is a miracle of God how you have founded JAF! I am still amazed by it.In your weakness God is truly mighty. The apostle Paul said in 2 Cor 12:10,For when I am weak, then I am strong (CSB). San
