The other day I visited the UCLA oncology clinic to have my port (which is still inside my chest wall) flushed — it’s just something I have to do every six weeks or so. I’ll be honest, the power-port needle is huge; plus, the port is in a place where I can feel! Many months ago when I was still in chemotherapy, I used to cower at this routine; however, one day something happened that completely changed my attitude. I instantly turned from cowardice to courage! What happened? Take a minute and listen to my radio program — it’s a lesson that’ll strengthen your heart with courage, too!
