volunteers pushing wheelchairsIt all started when a local Christian school educated its students about the need for 18 million wheelchairs around the world. One little boy, Isaiah, remembered this when he spotted 'wheelchairs for sale' at a local Goodwill store. He spread the word to his classmates and, before long, they collected enough money (doing chores, babysitting, holding bake sales, etc.) to purchase 12 wheelchairs. Over the holidays they brought the wheelchairs to our IDC for Wheels for the World! After we prayed over the chairs, I shared my testimony with the boys and girls – thanks, kids, for helping us give the love of Christ and the hope of salvation to children with disabilities across the globe!

Dear Joni, This is special if children are compassionate with other children in other countries and other cultures. We can learn a great deal from this example. We must become like the children, the Bible says.
