Come Serve With Us!

In Matthew 25, Jesus tells a parable to His disciples about the kingdom of heaven. He says, “When the Son of Man comes in His glory… the King will say, ‘Come, take your inheritance… For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink… I was sick, and you cared for me. Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least, you did for me.’” I love those words. Because they are such a great reminder that when we serve those who are sick, marginalized, and disabled, we are serving Jesus! And oh friend, what a privilege it is to serve Jesus when we reach out and extend a helping hand to someone in need — just ask my husband Ken!

Last year, Ken traveled to Peru to serve with our Wheels for the World ministry, providing wheelchairs and the Gospel of Jesus to people with disabilities in need. In countries like Peru, having a disability can be very challenging, but you can make a difference when you roll up your sleeves and serve. So, will you come serve with us? Whether it’s volunteering as a translator, on-site prayer warrior, wheelchair mechanic, physical or occupational therapist, we could use your help! So, check out this video, share it with your friends, and then sign up to volunteer on a Wheels for the World outreach — or maybe even a Family Retreat this coming summer. Not only will you bless the life of a family affected by a disability, but you, too, will be blessed!
