Collecting WheelchairsRecently I was in Connecticut to thank WIHS Christian Radio on nearly 15 years of holding annual wheelchair collection drives – they’ve collected well over 7,000 wheelchairs, walkers, and crutches. Thankfully, a local construction company provides this warehouse for storage. From there, the wheelchairs are sent to the correctional facility where inmates volunteer their time to restore them. I thank God for the many ‘team players’ who support Wheels for the World, whether with financial donations, wheelchair collection, or storage space. Would you like to help Wheels for the World collect wheelchairs? Then contact our Wheels for the World department at Joni and Friends!
