carol and joniCarol is my husband's younger sister and we've been friends for over 30 years. A short time after my own battle against breast cancer in 2010, Carol discovered she had it, too. Unlike me, she had a double mastectomy – and hers was a much longer, more difficult recovery than mine. But she faced it with confidence in Christ and a hopeful spirit. So every Thanksgiving, we snap our annual 'cancer-sister-survivor' photo, and this past Thanksgiving was no exception. She trusts in the Lord with all her heart, and this is why my sister-in-law, Carol, is my inspiration!

Dear Joni: This is an inspiring testimony of your sister-in-law. I recall during 2010 your struggle with cancer. Ken must have needed great grace to remain strong during this episode, and of course you and your sister-in-law. I have listened to you and Ken over the years, and have appreciated your message of hope, love for others, and matters of faith. Both you and Ken are at the top of my list of inspiring persons. Thank you so much for your lives and the work of the ministry you both continue labor at. May the Lord bless always.

Love your new 2013 Planner, which is sent to our local Christian radio station. The 2012 Planner was given to me, and I requested this year's also. I appreciate the sections for prayer requests and the monthly, as well as weekly, calendars. You are an inspiration!

God goes before us and helps us in our time of trouble and illness. Then He asks us to do the same for others. Joni, God helped you and you were able to be there for Carol. What a blessing you are to each other! May this help others as they need encouragement or to those who provide encouragement. God does not waste anything we go through. Christmas blessings to your families.
