At Family Retreats, God uses your prayer to restore families with the healing love of Christ through inspiring teaching, worship, and Christ-centered fellowship. For these families that live with disability, the exhaustion and isolation of everyday life never seem to end – until they arrive at Family Retreat! “We drive through the gates, and people are cheering and calling out our names!” says Lanette. “My son Juddy realizes, ‘At Family Retreat they know me personally. I am important to God!’ Family Retreat completely takes away our isolation. Here we are loved and unconditionally accepted.” “During the year, we are so bogged down that our spiritual lives suffer,” explains Lanette. “At Family Retreat, I can focus on my relationship with Christ. The messages from the retreat pastor remind me that God is still there. When I leave, I’m spiritually renewed.” Lanette’s 17-year-old son, Juddy, loves to tell people about God’s love. So, Short Term Missionary, William, taught Juddy how to use sign language to share the Gospel. “Juddy understands that if people don’t know Christ, they won’t be in heaven. He wants them to be there so he shares the Good News as often as he can.” Through your prayers, God transforms lives at Family Retreat. “Family Retreat reminds us that Juddy’s life is a blessing to the world – that he matters to God, and so do I,” says Lanette. “Here, we both hear God.”
