He is Risen!

Today a memorial service is being held for my good friend, Bobbie Wolgemuth, who passed away on October 28 from ovarian cancer (Bobbie and I wrote the “Hymns for a Kid’s Heart” series). Whether in an airport, hotel lobby, or on a convention floor, we’d always break out into song together – people called us “The Hymn Ladies.” Bobbie is much missed. The other day, her husband Robert sent this photo and wrote, “Every year during Lent we put this cross out in front of our house. The backside is completely blank. Just plain white. That’s the side people see. Then on Easter, we turn it around and the words are clear…’He Is Risen.’ Yesterday I was clearing out some things and found the cross. Is there a better time to be reminded of this truth than now? And all God’s people said…” No better time than now. Praise Jesus for the promise of the resurrection!
