The Bible In a Year: an Astonishing Response!

I was blindsided reading the blog this week - oh my, if you combine all the responses from Facebook, my radio page, and Joni's Blog, we've got a great group of friends committed to reading Through-the-Bible-in-a-Year. Yesterday, when I showed Ken how many of you were responding, he shook his head and whispered, "Wow, just look what we started!" But I beg to disagree - this is definitely something the Holy Spirit has started! And it's not too late to join us - just download the chronological reading schedule, tuck it in your Bible, and get ready for one amazing adventure this year. By the way, we've collected your e-mail addresses and created a 'group' so Ken and I can cheer you on with occasional messages. Get ready to start on January 1, beginning in Genesis. Together let's say, "I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws. I will obey your decrees" (Psalm 119:6-8).

I am going to read with you all this year through the Bible. Today we , my husband and I, have our new year goals meeting. I am praying we can start to read through the Bible together. One way I grow is through the word, each year. This is my first time with your schedule. I am excited to start tomorrow. Happy New year, everyone. Shalom

Thank you, Ken and Joni, for encouraging me --through the Holy Spirit -- to read the Bible in a year with your chronological reading schedule. Inspired by 2012's reading/learning/being encouraged, I've downloaded the schedule for 2013 and will join you again. :-)

Thank you so much for offering this, especially in chronological order. I've lost count of how many times I have read the bible all the way through (praise the Lord, with his help of course), but still struggle sometimes to understand some things because of the constant throw back and forth in the bible. For the last couple of years, I have been using a reading plan by Skip Heitzig from his How to Read the Bible and Enjoy It. It was answer to specific prayer of how to read through the bible and enjoy it, and has absolutely helped me to enjoy as I read from a contextual manner not necessarily a chapter a day. I saw and understood so much more the chronological importance. Your plan comes at a time that I am praying about that very thing as well... Reading the Bible Through Chronologically. Thank you!! God bless you and Ken! He loves you!

Thank you for doing this Chronological Bible reading Schedule. I have been a christian for 36 years & sad to say I have never read the Bible from Gen. to Rev. all the way through. I can across your blog on Jan 1, 2012 and was so encouraged by this schedule that I vowed I would read it all the way through. Thank you for being the true & faithful servant of the Lord. I would love to hear your encouraging word daily. Thank you my Friend. Mary
