This week was Anatoli Erickson’s 8th birthday and what did she want for presents? Rather than wrapped gifts, she asked friends and family to help her collect funds for one of our Regency pediatric wheelchairs.

Anatoli got the idea to support Wheels for the World when her school took a tour of our International Disability Center a few weeks ago. She was super excited to personally hand the checks to Joni – and it gave Joni a chance to thank her for honoring the Lord Jesus by helping kids with disabilities around the world! Don’t forget to tell the children in your life about boys and girls in other parts of the world who must live with a disability – and tell them to visit our Kids’ Corner, too!

Way to go, Anatoli! God is very pleased with your gift of a wheelchair to another child in Peru. Wow, can you imagine the joy on that kid's face when he or she is presented with a way to get around more easily? That will put a big smile on God's face.

Dear Anatoli, What a wonderful "Christ" like spirit of compassion you have for other children around the world who need help. Thank you for the gift you, your family & friends have given to a needy child. Instead of thinking about what gifts you'd receive on your birthday, you gave a gift to another child. That's wonderful! If everyone did what they could to raise money see what we could accomplish! God bless you, Jody

Thanks Anatoli what a cool idea...I have been praying about how I too can be involved in getting wheelchairs to the third world with Wheels for the World. I sent my question in a letter a few weeks back but unfortunately we have a mail strike in Canada! It makes me weep that people crawl on the ground because they have no wheelchair or are confined to their homes. I am going to share this story with my friends...maybe we can pool our money together. How can we collect wheelchairs on an going basis? In Christ, Heather Schmidt "Nothing is impossible with God." Luke 1:37
