Join the 2018 National Bible Bee Summer Study
When it comes to memorizing scripture, I’m always trying to catch up with my husband Ken. But try as I may, he’s usually ahead of me by several verses, if not a chapter or two. For instance, Ken has been memorizing James 1, and I think he’s on the 15th verse. But me? I am barely up to verse 12. And while I can be quite the competitive type, my goal in memorizing Scripture is not to beat Ken; rather, it’s to grow in God’s Word. It’s why I love the National Bible Bee — for years, this ministry has been encouraging young people to dig deep into the Bible and memorize Scripture. Children ages 5-18 are invited join in an 8-week Summer Study on a journey through the Bible, designed to help them learn tools to discover the truths of God’s Word.
Whether they study on their own or join a local host group, in as little as 20-minutes a day, your child can work on memorizing Bible verses that will help them now and in the years to come. So that in doing so, they will experience what 2 Timothy 3:15 says: “You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.”
