Ken in Cuba with Wheels for the World

KenEarlier this season, my husband served on a Wheels for the World team in Cuba, helping to fit children with disabilities to their new wheelchairs. Before Ken left, I autographed a Spanish Joni book and said to him, "Would you please give this to a little girl in Cuba, and tell her it's from me?"

Ellen Dibler

I am always inspired by other women with disabilities who keep persevering through every challenge – especially women who, like me, are aging.  Meet Ellen Dibler who has lived with spina bifida longer than anyone else in the US – she’s over 70 years old, has been married to her husband Larry for over 40 years, and remains actively involved in Joni and Friends/Texas.  She and Larry have two sons and they are happy grandparents to eight wonderful grandchildren.  What inspires me most about Ellen, is her unflappable enthusiasm for life...
