Christmas… the season for pie baking, gift shopping, tree decorating, and ice-skating. But what if your arthritic hands can no longer detangle Christmas lights? What if your paralyzed legs restrain you from skating on ice? Or your aging eyes can no longer read your classic family recipe? If this Christmas, you find yourself wishing you could do more or have more, you’re not alone. When Joni was first injured, she wrestled with many of these real, day-to-day struggles of being disabled over the holidays. But friend, you don’t have to be in a wheelchair to feel like you’re missing out during the Christmas season. With Christmas sales galore, holiday parties everywhere, and family photos that look like they’re straight out of Parents Magazine … it’s easy to feel left out. It’s why Joni would like to share with you how, rather than focusing on what you don’t have, you can focus on all that God has given you this Christmas: His precious Son, Jesus. So, take a moment to watch this short, Christmas video greeting from Joni and then, share it...

Cause 4 Life Intern in UgandaAmerican culture really defines this time of year. Christmas parties and white elephant gift exchanges fill our calendars. Our kitchens explode with the next homemade Pinterest find. Living rooms dance with the sound of friends and family’s laughter as they sip their eggnog. Our festivities usually bring to mind the things we’ve accomplished, the people we’ve lost. And then, the inevitable question, what will next year bring?

Next year might be a building year, adding experiences on to a working goal. Next year might be the start of a whole new chapter, starting fresh...

Short Term Missionary and camper at Family RetreatEvery aspect of ministry at Joni and Friends begins with your prayer. We are earnestly calling on you, our treasured prayer warriors, to pray specifically for the Joni and Friends Area Ministry office closest to you. Each office holds great ministry responsibility to equip and train Christ-honoring churches for disability ministry, plan and implement Wheels for the World outreaches and Family Retreats, and mobilize volunteers and churches to reach disabled children and adults with the life-changing love of Jesus. Contact your local Area Ministry and ask how you can help. Even if you can’t volunteer, you can pray with joy, knowing God will accomplish much through your faithfulness! Thank you!

Radio Recording Today!I can hardly believe today will be the last radio recording session for 2014 – I think we are up to over 8500 radio programs (considering "Joni and Friends" has been on the air since 1982). As always, I will be leaning on your prayers for physical strength, lung power, a clear voice, and an anointing from the Holy Spirit over...

Regina and Victoria with Victoria's new wheelchairEvery day, Regina lifts her 6-year-old daughter Victoria onto her back and heads for the local roadside stand where she sells salt, onions, and peppers in Ghana. Victoria has cerebral palsy and is unable to walk on her own. But Regina can’t afford a wheelchair for Victoria – such a thing costs more money than Regina earns in a year. If Victoria had a wheelchair, she could go to a local school, but instead she sits by the road as her mother sells what she can to keep them going another day. But on a recent Wheels for the World outreach, Regina’s prayers were answered. Victoria received a new pediatric wheelchair that will make it possible for her to attend school. “Jesus tells us that He will not leave us or forsake us,” said Regina. “Today this wheelchair you have given us is a manifestation of His love and His word coming true. You have lifted us from shame and placed God’s love on our lives!” Thank you for your prayers and ministry partnership that reach...
