Eleven-year-old Fernanda spends every day lying in a small side room, while her mother, Denise, works as a maid. Because she has no mobility, Fernanda has never gone to school. But through your support, God has supplied for their need. Denise carried Fernanda throughout the 2-hour bus trip to reach our Wheels for the World outreach. They sat alone, just the two of them. “We have no family,” Denise explained. “It’s just the two of us. We are alone in this world.” But your compassion sends Bibles and wheelchairs to people who are lost and lonely! A local Joni and Friends partnering...

Join Us in Sharing God's Word!

girl receiving a Bible in PeruAren’t you thankful for the gift of God’s wonderful Word? And we have it at our fingertips – all we have to do is pick up our Bible and begin reading. Yet there are millions of people all over the world who have no access to the Bible. In fact, statistics tell us that people with disabilities are among the least evangelized groups of all. That’s why Joni and Friends has set a goal to deliver 25,000 Bibles within the next year to people with disabilities, all over the world. Won’t you join us in prayer and support of this awesome goal? Together, we’ll provide for people in the most desperate life circumstances, by sending them the hope and love found in God’s Word. A gift of $25 will send 5 Bibles; $100 sends 20 Bibles, all in their native language! With your gift, families with disability will receive Bibles, giving the Truth and Hope straight from the Word of God!

Thank you for sending God’s Word to families affected by disability!

Joni Eareckson Tada and the Joni and Friends Board of Directors announced today that Judy Butler, Joni’s longtime executive assistant, is to retire after 35 years of service at Joni and Friends. “Judy has been with me since day one, always ready and willing to serve in whatever capacity she was needed,” Joni said. “I am going to miss having her right outside my office, but I am confident in what we both believe and trust is God’s perfect timing.” Born in England in 1940, trained as an R.N. and midwife, Judy came to know the Lord in 1963. Looking to understand more about her new life in Christ, she began working for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) in London in...

Recently a group of our Cause 4 Life interns traveled to China to serve in several orphanages for disabled children – it was a great chance for these young autism specialists, OT and PT and Special Ed students to exercise their gifts and expertise with the staff and children. Kelly, the leader, wrote, "It is a joy to watch the younger girls step into their callings and giftings – we helped evaluate the children, modify their...

You Are an Answer to Prayer!

Daniel in his new Regency Pediatric WheelchairYou may never visit El Salvador, India or Peru to meet your Christian brothers and sisters there, but your generosity has traveled far and wide, answering the prayers of many families. Like Daniel’s… “I am a Christian mom who has been praying and believing that God would meet our need,” said Lisette. Her lively 3-year old, Daniel, was born with multiple disabilities – and a loving spirit that shines on his little face. But in his country, there is fear and ignorance about disability; people sometimes stare and point. Rather than hiding him away, Daniel’s parents have faithfully asked God to give their little boy a chance at life. In partnership with Wheels for the World, you’ve given Daniel that chance at life, with the gift of a pediatric wheelchair. Daniel can now be taken into his...
