Joni and Ken Speak at Talbot Seminary
On Monday, January 24, Joni and Ken spoke at the first "Theology of Suffering and Disability" class at Talbot Seminary on the campus of Biola University. The idea for this groundbreaking one-week intensive was spearheaded by Dr. Kathy McReynolds of our Joni and Friends' Christian Institute on Disability. The CID team is dedicated to developing partnerships with other seminaries and Bible colleges across the country through curriculum development and disability-ministry courses of study.

God is an expert in writing happy endings to sad situations, and I love it when we can join him in His great cause! It’s why I'm pumped that this week we’re celebrating “Heart for the Disabled” here at Joni and Friends – you see, recently on the "Joni and Friends" radio program, I shared the stories of five special needs families who are really in need of Christ-centered encouragement (it’s been a long time since they were at Family Retreat last summer)! So this week, listeners are sending in Valentine cards and notes of encouragement filled with scriptures, poems, and favorite hymns (Ken and I tucked in McDonald’s gift certificates in our notes to each of the five families :-). And, friend, I’d like you to join us…
